This is an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking consultant to play a major role in leading the development of a novel system of integrated emergency care.
Duties include:
• Providing clinical assessment, appropriate treatment (including resuscitation) and supervision of all types of patients attending the Emergency Department until onward referral or discharge.
• Provide clinical leadership and supervision for junior medical and nursing staff within the department.
This post requires someone who is dynamic,enjoys variety and challenge and interested in service development.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS –
1-Full and specialist registration (and a licence to practise) with the General Medical
Council (GMC) (or eligible for registration within six months of interview)
2-Applicants that are UK trained, must ALSO be a holder of a Certificate of Completion of
Training (CCT), or be within six months of award of CCT by date of interview.
3-Applicants should hold a CCT in Emergency Medicine
4-Applicants that are non- UK trained, will be required to show evidence of equivalence to
the UK CCT / FRCEM or equivalent qualification and experience
